Schedule 40 PVC Solvent Weld Pipe Coupling
Extend your pipeline runs seamlessly with our heavy-duty Schedule 40 PVC Pipe Couplings. Engineered to join two lengths of equal-diameter PVC pipe, these straight inline sleeve fittings provide a reliable, airtight connection for plumbing, drain-waste-vent (DWV) stacks, and low-temperature appliance venting lines.
Manufactured with deep, precision-molded slip sockets on both ends, this coupling uses a smooth solvent weld connection to create a permanent chemical bond. It provides a completely leak-proof junction that is stronger than the pipe itself.

Key Features & Benefits
  • Seamless Inline Extension: Features a small internal stop or ridge at the center to ensure pipes insert to the exact proper depth for a symmetrical joint.
  • Corrosion-Proof Durability: 100% immune to electrochemical rusting, scaling, and pitting from acidic furnace flue condensates or aggressive wastewater.
  • High-Impact Rigid Build: Molded from premium, solid-wall PVC compounds that deliver high tensile strength and superior resistance to structural crushing.
  • Maximized Internal Flow: Completely smooth inner walls prevent fluid or air friction, ensuring zero turbulence or flow restrictions through the joint.
  • Quick Solvent Welding: Deep socket depths provide massive surface-area contact, forming a rock-solid, permanent weld when used with standard PVC primer and cement. [1]

Versatile Applications
An essential structural fitting designed to join pipelines across multiple critical systems:
  • Appliance Exhaust Line Extensions: Connecting intake and exhaust vent piping for high-efficiency furnaces and condensing water heaters.
  • Plumbing DWV Infrastructure: Joining vertical or horizontal drain, waste, and vent lines inside residential and commercial walls.
  • Radon Mitigation Layouts: Extending long runs of sub-slab depressurization pipes leading up to roof exhaust points.
  • Irrigation & Water Supply: Connecting Schedule 40 pressure lines for cold water distribution and landscaping.

Technical Specifications
  • Connection Type: Slip x Slip (Socket x Socket)
  • Material: Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
  • Wall Rating: Schedule 40 (Solid Core)
  • Standards Compliance: ASTM D2466 (PVC Schedule 40 Socket-Type Fittings) and NSF/ANSI 61 certified.
  • Max Temperature Limit: 140°F (60°C)
  • Safety Constraint: Not for use with compressed air or gases.

4-Step Connection Guide
  1. Clean: Ensure the pipe ends are cut perfectly square and wiped clean of any dirt, grease, or plastic shavings.
  2. Prime: Apply a thorough layer of purple PVC primer to the outer edge of both pipe ends and to the internal sockets of the coupling.
  3. Cement: Apply a uniform layer of medium-body PVC solvent cement over the primed areas.
  4. Set: Insert the pipe firmly into the coupling until it hits the inner center stop, give it a quick quarter-turn twist to distribute the glue evenly, and hold tightly for 30 seconds.
